When considering the stucco installation process, we need to make sure everything is set up correctly to go. The first step is the surface preparation, which needs to be cleaned thoroughly before any stucco can be applied. Then we lay down the black paper to start and then add the lath (wire mesh) to the surface to help with the stucco sticking properly to the surface. The stucco is then made with a combination of sand, water and cement. We provide options to mix on site or bring our already premade mix. We also offer various colors and consistencies depending on the resulting look you are going for. The stucco application is next, which consists of multiple layers. Typically we provide three coats, with time in between to allow the stucco to dry. Again it depends on the look you are going for as to how many coats are applied. Lastly we finish the stucco based on the type you want, smoothening it out a bit or adding additional textures or decorative elements.
